There are many reasons why some students struggle in math––from not understanding how to use operations properly, to feeling less confident in their mathematical abilities, the challenges vary depending on the student. Saga Education wants to empower students to overcome these obstacles, and many more with Saga Curriculum. We have made our intensive math tutoring curriculum free for everyone, including tutors, teachers, paraprofessionals, and even school districts or education-focused organizations everywhere!

We aren’t trying to reinvent the wheel, there are plenty of tutoring curriculums out there. But this is the first free intensive tutoring curriculum available specifically geared to supporting middle and high school students in math. We’ve added some improvements to it that will benefit everyone. Our curriculum is dedicated specifically to helping middle and high school students excel in algebra and geometry. It consists of easy-to-follow lessons and engaging exercises that allow them to understand the subjects without frustration. Based on our research, our academic approach gives students the opportunity to learn 2.5 years of worth of math in one school year. This means they learn more in a shorter amount of time—preparing them for advanced mathematics sooner, and giving them the confidence they need to succeed.

Additionally, our curriculum not only helps students increase their success in math, but it also assists tutors and teachers with educating young learners more effectively. It features tutor versions of each lesson for a quick refresher of the content, so instructors can work with students one on one or in small groups with ease. Plus, with the help of built-in support throughout the curriculum, tutors who don’t have a degree in education get the added assistance they need to ask students the right questions, avoid misconceptions, and show young learners multiple ways to solve equations.

The best thing about our free resources is that they are continually updated. We encourage user feedback for this very reason. Because our resources are “living” documents, tutors and educators will be able to utilize any revised information in real-time. Whether it’s providing another method to solve a math problem or a better way to explain an operation to students, we add material to make our resources more valuable.

We are happy to provide our comprehensive math curriculum as a problem-based alternative to the traditional learning systems that are in practice in most school districts. If you’re looking for a different educational program to get your students more excited about algebra and geometry, give Saga Curriculum a try. It’ll help the young learners in your classrooms grow academically and increase your tutors’ and teachers’ effectiveness in no time.
