This is a challenging time for students and families, who are trying to keep up with academics at home while staying grounded during the COVID-19 pandemic. People on social media are sharing a range of educational resources with one another, which vary in quality. We wanted to share a list of resources with you that we meticulously vetted, so you know that they coming from organizations you can trust. The following are in no particular order:
Official SAT Practice – via Khan Academy
College Board, the creator of the SAT, developed this platform with Kahn Academy. The content comes directly from College Board. It is free, and up to date.

ALEKS
To be clear, no online program or software is perfect, but ALEKS has good quality math content, personalized learning pathways and various games for students. We use it in our blended learning classrooms. For a limited time through April 30, 2020 parents can sign up their children for 2 months of complimentary access.

Match Fishtank
Match Fishtank’s open-sourced curriculum is thoughtful and aligns with national Common Core standards. Although it geared towards educators and teachers, there are many great lesson plans, practice sets and answer keys that parents can use. It is well organized, and there is content for students in grades k-12, in multiple subjects.

Bedtime Math (book series for younger learners)
This is a wonderful tool to engage younger students in math. There is strong research evidence for the books. The best part is that you do not need technology to learn and have fun with math! In addition, there are other activities and resources on the website.

Smithsonian Learning Lab
The Smithsonian Learning Lab has a large collection of high quality resources and activates on a wide range of topics; and it is free. It is a great way to learn and explore beyond core class subjects as well.
